The RARE Learning filmmaking workshop is a fun activity meant to introduce 9–15-year-old students to the world of video production.
What We Do
During our week-long filmmaking course, students will team up to create an engaging film. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young minds to collaborate, learn, and showcase their talents in a fun and supportive environment, and parents can look forward to a special viewing at the program’s end, witnessing the fantastic creativity their kids show. What will be taught to the students?
Participants in our filmmaking workshop will learn pre-production techniques, scriptwriting, and production fundamentals like composition, shot selection, filming, acting, and post-production concepts of editing and special effects under the direction of a qualified video professional instructor. This is a hands-on activity where your child will learn these basic skills and use them to make their own short film.
FILMMAKING EQUIPMENT WE PROVIDE
Our tools make it easy for kids to discover and make cool films that will show off their creativity and skills. We provide the following tools:
- Camera: Canon T6i DSLR
- Microphone: Teac Mic
- Tripod: Bogan with a Manfrotto Fluid Head
RARE Learning is a hi-touch learning program that is delivered as an Early Learners’ Day Out Pre-K program and a summer academic enrichment program.
