RARE Learning Survey Says Children Engaged, Parents Ecstatic With Film, Photo Camps in the Dallas Metroplex

Pre Schools in Grapevine

Over the summer, RARE Learning had the opportunity to review feedback from 10 parents of children enrolled in our digital photography camps and 12 in our filmmaking camps. We polled parents on their own levels of satisfaction with their child’s summer camp experience, as well as what they heard and observed from their children first-hand.

Here’s what they had to say about the classes!

Digital Photography Class

Students found RARE’s digital photography class engaging and interesting, with 90% of parents reporting that their children demonstrated an ‘above average’ level of interest in attending the workshops and were excited about tackling the projects assigned during class.

When asked “How valuable was the final presentation of your child’s accumulated work from over the week?” 90% of parents said that it had been “very valuable.”

In fact, all of the 12 parents that took the survey over the summer revealed that their children would even discuss the assignments and projects with them at home.

100% of parents in the survey responses agreed that the workshop was a good use of their child’s time.

Below is a small sampling of the parent testimonials:

“Samantha was great!”

“My child LOVED the photography camp! He learned a lot, was very excited to show us what he learned and to do any homework assigned. We will definitely be looking at taking one of the other rare learning workshops next year.”

“Thanks for all the effort in putting the camp together both my kids had a great time!”

Filmmaking Class

All of the 10 parents that took the survey over the summer reported that their children were excited about working on their film projects that were the final product of the class. The overwhelming majority also agreed that the workshop was a good use of their child’s time.

About the classes

Our Filmmaking class are offered in various locations including Plano, Allen, Richardson, Coppell, Garland and Grapevine and the Photo classes in Plano, Allen and Richardson.

The RARE Learning Digital Filmmaking and Photography Camps are specialized programs taught by experienced instructors that introduce students to the art of digital video and photo production. Over the course of a week, students in each camp are taught about all phases of photo and video production, and given a chance to express their newfound knowledge and creativity by working on their own digital projects.

Our aim is that children leave our classes armed with confidence and new knowledge- ready to take on the world! Hearing from parents through our feedback surveys helps us stay connected with you, learn more about how your children learn best, and watch our vision of enriching young minds become a reality.
